Bringing back the stalwarts of the modelling world is all well and good... but I'm not so sure
Vogue Russia April 2010 got it right with this shoot of
Naomi Campbell. It's not Naomi so much; she still looks pretty darn good. I have somewhat high expectations of
Steven Meisel too; but it's not quite the photography either. It's just that the styling comes off as a bit tacky. Fetish fashion, coloured wigs, and thigh high boots could work, but some of these shots are just missing the mark. There's also nothing particularly new or edgy about the use of nudity here.
The shot below of Naomi looking all future warrior is definitely my favourite of the lot, being to the softer side and with more elegant and on-trend styling.
