PARIS — Been dying to snap up Anna Dello Russo’s studded leather Versace for H&M dress?
It can be yours for $299 when the collection launches in select countries on Nov. 17, according to the look book and price list the Swedish fast-fashion retailer releases today.
Alongside a $299 leather jacket, the dress is the most expensive item in the lineup, which also runs more democratic with costume jewelry starting at $19.95, in addition to colorful printed silk scarves and leggings, each priced $29.95.
The designer collection, which includes home furnishings for the first time, will be available in some 300 stores worldwide and online in select countries. It is set to launch in the U.S. on Nov. 19.
“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace,” stated Donatella Versace. “For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.”
H&M is expected to unveil the collection at a launch event in New York on Nov. 8 that will include a fashion show, a Versace for H&M boutique and an after party.
Dresses are the focus of the women’s collection. They include a black silk crepe dress with gold Grecian buttons on the patent straps for $149, and short metallic dresses in silver or gold, priced $249. Accessories include high-heeled lace-up boots, at $149, and handbags such as a silk model with a single chain strap priced $199.
The focus of the men’s collection is tailoring, with a suit jacket in black or fuchsia pink going for $149 and matching pants for $59.95. Accessories range from leopard print briefs, priced $17.95, to black buckled boots at $69.95.
The home decor collection, meanwhile, consists of pillows, priced $29.95 and $39.95, and a bedspread, at $149.
Hennes & Mauritz AB, more widely known as H&M, has previously collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garçons, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel and Lanvin.
