Spotlight: Another Enemy Clothing

I came across a very inspiring young designer, Justin Lipsky, who created the line "Another Enemy".

Another Enemy has been worn by your favorite artists all over!

I went ahead and took advantage of following him on twitter and asking him kindly for a short Q and A. Below I have a few questions that have been answered by him in his own spunky way. Enjoy!

1. What inspired you to begin designing?

 -Finding out that I would never be in the N.B.A. After I came to that realization I decided to ruin other brand's dreams since mine were dashed early.

2. How did you come across the tools to have success in your line?

 -I started off making fake I.D's in high school, which eventually turned into film school at UCLA, and now I get to have fun on a daily basis designing t-shirts.

3. How long have you been in this business?

 -Another Enemy has been around since 2008, but I had a line previous to this.

4. Where are you originally from?

 -Cleveland, Ohio by way of Los Angeles, and now stuck back in Ohio.

5. Who all do you look up to for motivation?

 -Shawn Stussy, Rick Klotz, Alfred E. Newman, Brad Dorfman.

6. Are you the only person in charge of designs or do you have a team built?

 -Until Recently it has been a one person team, utilizing a small circle of people's trusted opinions.

7. How far do you plan on expanding your business?

 -We are comfortable with the continuing growth path we are on. Ideally with the rate we are going the entire world will be wearing Another Enemy in ten years.

8. Who all have you sold items to celebrity wise?

 -And we don't like to brag, so our photos brag for us (Weezy Voice)

9. How far do you see yourself going with your career?

 -Its looking like it will be a lifetime sentence with no chance of parole.

10. What artists would you love to collab with?

 -Shawn Stussy, Kevin Lyons, Stan Lee, Al Via

11. What best describes your style?

 -I have been wearing Jordan 5s, old stussy and levis since 1990, it's finally back in style.

12. If you could feature your designs in any store, what store would it be and why?

 -That new boutique that Kanye X Supreme X Goyard X Charlie Sheen are opening soon located on the moon.

13. How did you create the name of your clothing line "Another Enemy?"

 -To be honest, it started off as a joke. We just wanted to be a pain in other brands sides.

14. Do you plan on doing a womens line anytime soon?

 - We have been asked before this and still maintain, we would rather do a kids line first.  You will see a Little Enemies line before you see a Ladies Enemies Line.

15. What is your ultimate goal?

 - To continue creating and reaching people of different backgrounds, to further grow Another Enemy by providing unique and quality garments to all our loyal supporters.
